Training and Cooperation Activities
The term Transnational Cooperation Activities (TCAs) refers to a wide range of international and national activities. These include contact seminars, study visits, thematic workshops and conferences, and research studies. The common goal of these activities is to contribute to the qualitative development of Erasmus+ and to assist participants from all fields of education in capacity building.
Who can participate?
- Participation in TCA activities is open to representatives of all organisations and target groups in relation to the Erasmus+ programme.
- TCA activities are largely aimed at potential Erasmus+ applicants. These can mainly benefit from contact seminars, where participants can learn detailed information about the programme and, most importantly, find foreign partners for international cooperation projects.
- However, some of the activities are also aimed at participants who already have Erasmus+ experience. Such participants may benefit mainly from conferences and workshops on topics relevant to the Erasmus+ programme.
- Each TCA activity is designed with the needs of the given target group in mind. Therefore, before submitting a registration for an activity, it is important to consider whether the activity is suitable for you, given its focus.
How to apply?
For some of the activities, you can apply through the SALTO portal. To apply, you need to create a user account on the platform (SALTO for the Youth sector; SALTO for the School Education, Vocational Education and Training, Higher Education and Adult Education sectors). For some activities, the application process then takes place through the application form of the Czech National Agency for International Education and Research. The application method is always specified for the specific event in the “Current events” tab.
All applications will then be evaluated in terms of quality. Since the number of participants in each activity is limited, we recommend that you pay full attention to the application form and answer all questions in detail.
What financial aid will I receive?
We are in the transition phase between the old and the new Erasmus+ programme period. Therefore, some of the events are still being offered under the old programme period, while others under the new one. Consequently, the form of financial support will vary. While selecting your event, representatives of the Czech National Agency for International Education and Research will inform you about the type of financial support that will apply to you.
- Activities falling under the old programme period
For activities that fall under the old programme period, financial support is provided through reimbursement of the costs incurred by you in attending the seminar, up to 95% of the total costs.
- Activities falling under the new programme period
For activities falling under the new programme period, a fixed amount which is specified in the agreement is subsequently paid. The amount will be determined according to the type of activity and the location where the activity takes place.
- Online activities
As a general rule, the forms of financial support mentioned above apply to activities that take place physically. Nonetheless, some of the activities take the form of online conferences or seminars, which are usually free of charge. However, depending on the nature of the given activity, there may be exceptions – where necessary, the participant will receive adequate financial support.
