International higher education forum CZEDUCON 2021 will be held on 15–17 June by the Czech National Agency for International Education and Research (DZS). The event will take place online, the number of possible attendees is therefore not limited, and the conference is open to anyone interested in higher education. There are many events to choose from, some of which will be in Czech and some in English. English speaking attendees may choose among the English titles in the programme which can be found at our website https://czeducon.cz/.

The event is free to attend, you only need to register.

The theme of the third annual Czeducon (Un)prepared for change? refers to the need to react to the changes in higher education resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic and reflect a number of various other changes. The new Erasmus+ Programme 2021–2027 has launched. New priorities emerged at the European level, and consequently, a new vision for the European Education Area has been set and a new Digital Education Action Plan has been adopted. At the national level, the Strategy for Internationalization of Higher Education has been formulated in a stand-alone document as a part of the Strategic Plan of the Ministry for Higher Education for 2021 onwards. The future of international education is being planned at institutional levels in Strategic Plans of universities or new strategic plans of the Czech National Agency for International Education.

Look forward to events in four thematic areas:

  • Crisis Management
  • New Erasmus+ Period
  • New Internationalization Priorities
  • Strategic Management and Capacity Building

There will be over 40 events focusing on different aspects of higher education during the three conference days. Johana Canda Fiserova from the Alumni Network Group will discuss the benefits of innovative alumni relationships extending beyond fundraising. Erina Anna Smith from Masaryk University and Wannes Gijsels from the University of Antwerp will reflect on the successes and challenges of summer schools and Paul Leys from Ghent University will let us know how to evaluate agreements for the new Erasmus Programme.

The programme starts at 9 AM and ends at 2:30 PM at the latest.
Registered participants will receive an e-mail with a link to join the conference. Recordings of all presentations will also be available to registered participants after the conference.
