The New Industry 5.0 Award is now open!

Deadline for applications is 1 April 2022. Applications can be submitted via European Commission´s website.

The European Commission has launched the first Industry 5.0 Award dedicated to EU-funded projects that have assisted the European industry to become more resilient, sustainable, and human-centric. The award has been prepared in collaboration with the European Factories of the Future Research Association (EFFRA) and the ManuFUTURE platform.

Projects funded by Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe or European Institute of Innovation and Technology are eligible to compete. In addition, the official start date of the project must be dated after 31 August 2018 and at the same time projects should be clearly linked to the industry. The deadline for applications is 1 April 2022 at 17:00 CET.

The aim is to highlight innovative projects that have contributed to the priorities of the European Commission outlined in its programme such as: Green Deal, A Europe fit for the digital age and An economy that works for people.

The projects will be evaluated by an independent jury comprised of representatives from various industries and academia sector. The winning project will receive a communication support from the European Commission, including creation of promotional video, social media publicity via European Commission´s channel and an article in the Horizon Magazine. Finalists will be invited to the award ceremony that will be during the annual European Research and Innovation Days in June 2022.
