EIT has announced the launch of the Deep Tech Talent Initiative

CZELO

The initiative aims to skill 1 million people in deep tech fields over the next three years.

The initiative, which builds on the new European Innovation Agenda, was introduced during the EIT Summit in Brussels. According to the European Innovation Agenda, Europe lacks the talent and a workforce with the necessary skills to effectively use new technologies. These technologies are intended to help green and digital transition.

The initiative aims to skill 1 million people in deep tech fields over the next three years. The program is open to the following interested parties: high school and university students, entrepreneurs and education and training providers. The initiative will also place a strong emphasis on the participation of women and countries with lower innovation capacity.

The initiative expands on EIT initiatives already in place in the area of entrepreneurial education, including those emphasizing technical competencies like the European Battery Academy or the EIT Higher Education Initiative.

The EIT is currently seeking expressions of interest from deep tech sector stakeholders to join the program. Those who want to participate in the development of the program can choose which form of support they prefer (financial support, dissemination of information, development of program content, etc.).
