The 2020 international graduate received the DZS award from the Czech Ambassador to Ghana
At the end of last year, we awarded successful activities in the field of international education with the DZS Awards.
In one case, the DZS Award travelled to Ghana - the home country of the winner in the category "Study in the Czech Republic – International Alumni 2020". This award was granted to Mr. Emmanuel Selase Asamoah, nominated by the Tomas Bata University in Zlín. It was here that Emmanuel graduated from the Doctoral study programme in Economics and Management at the Faculty of Management and Economics in 2012.
The DZS Award was passed to the winner by Mr. Ambassador Ján Füry during their official meeting at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Accra. During about an hour and a half of informal conversation, the Ambassador and Emmanuel S. Asamoah discussed the current world situation in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic and the possibility of an online exchange of experiences between Czech and Ghanaian teachers in the field of international education. They also discussed issues in the field of environment, urban development of Accra, the history of Ghana, tribal organization, and the resulting specifics.
This unique meeting took place mainly thanks to the kind cooperation of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Accra. Thank you!
After his studies, Emmanuel Selase Asamoah returned to his native Ghana to apply the knowledge and experience gained during his studies and life in the Czech Republic. He currently works at the University of Professional Studies in Accra, where he became the youngest head of the Department of Business Management. He participated in many international conferences and published more than thirty articles in international scientific journals. Emmanuel is a big promoter of studying abroad. He has already supported more than a hundred high school students who, with his help, have successfully started studying at universities.
The International Alumni Award is awarded under the auspices of DZS by the Study in the Czech Republic initiative. At the beginning of last year, the formation of a national alumni programme was initiated as part of the promotion of university studies in the Czech Republic. More information about the Czech Republic Alumni programme and member registration can be found on the Study in the Czech Republic website.
