Network objective

For more than 40 years, the role of the Eurydice European information network is to provide information on education systems and education policy across Europe, and, in doing so, to assist policy-making and facilitate international cooperation in education.

How does the network work

The Eurydice network operates on the basis of mutual cooperation between European and national units. The European unit coordinates the activities of the network and collects and subsequently analyses data from individual countries. It publishes outputs in the form of thematic studies and other comparative materials on its website. It also manages a European database of descriptions of national education systems. National units update the descriptions of their education systems in the database, provide data for thematic studies, participate in the checking of information outputs and ensure that they reach the target groups in the country.

Further information is available in the following tabs: Comparative reports, Czech education system, Reports under preparation.

The most recent news items are available at the website of the European Unit.
