Webinar on The power of transdisciplinarity for innovation-led impact

On February 17, 2026, an online webinar will be held focusing on the role of transdisciplinary approaches in strengthening the innovative and societal impact of research. The event will focus on linking different scientific disciplines and effectively using research results to address complex societal challenges, from basic research to practical application. The discussion will focus in particular on the involvement of social sciences and humanities in innovation processes, new methods of co-creation, and effective knowledge valorisation. Examples will be presented of how to link STEM knowledge with societal needs, promote collaboration between different actors, and increase the sustainability and inclusiveness of innovation.

The event is part of the EU Knowledge Valorisation Talks series, organised by the European Commission and is intended for researchers, innovators, public administration representatives, and other actors interested in knowledge transfer, intellectual property, and the societal impact of research.
