Talent Ecosystems: Building sustainable research careers

On 29 September 2026, the conference Talent Ecosystems: Building Sustainable Research Careers will take place in Brussels and online, presenting the results of ten projects funded under the Horizon Europe programme that focus on the development of research careers within the European Research Area (ERA). The conference is organised by the European Research Executive Agency (REA) in collaboration with the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation (DG RTD) and the participating projects. The programme will feature discussions on researchers’ employability, skills development, training, research career management and support for their wellbeing. The event will also include the collection of initial recommendations for shaping European policies on strengthening research careers, as well as information for those interested in the upcoming calls for proposals in 2027.
