Research Careers 2025 Conference and Freedom of Scientific Research conference

From 10 to 12 December 2025, two interconnected events – the “Research Careers 2025” conference and the “Freedom of Scientific Research” conference – will take place under the “Research & Innovation Community platform”. The events will explore current and future challenges faced by the European research landscape, particularly regarding working conditions for researchers, mobility opportunities, career and institutional support structures. 

The programme will include discussions on enhancing the attractiveness of research careers, transparent recruitment practices, open science and ethical frameworks in scientific work. Participants will also address issues related to the freedom of scientific research, pressures on research organisations and the role of EU policies in safeguarding academic and scientific values.
