Improving access for industrial users to research and technology infrastructures

On 22 September 2026, the online workshop Improving access for industrial users to research and technology infrastructures will focus on improving industrial users’ access to European research and technology infrastructures. Using a specific example of cooperation between a company and a research infrastructure operator, it will present practical solutions to barriers such as complex contractual conditions, cross-border access to facilities, and insufficiently tailored support for businesses. The event is the first webinar in the new Research and Technology Infrastructure Stories series, launched by the European Commission in follow-up to the European Strategy for Research and Technology Infrastructures. The series aims to promote mutual learning, networking, and better use of infrastructure services by industry. The Commission is also preparing a Charter on Industrial Users’ Access to Research and Technology Infrastructures, the creation of which was announced as part of the EU Startup and Scaleup Strategy.
