Advanced Virtual Human Twins (VHT) Platform Annual Event

On 20–21 October 2026, the first annual event of the Advanced Virtual Human Twins (VHT) Platform will take place in Brussels and online, providing an opportunity to review progress and further develop the platform based on user needs and feedback from the expert community. Discussions will focus in particular on usability and wider uptake of the platform, interoperability, trust, user engagement, legal and ethical aspects, and the definition of key requirements for its first version. The first day will be open to researchers, developers, patient organisations, regulators, industry representatives and other stakeholders interested in the development of Virtual Human Twins, which are digital models of human health or disease that can support areas such as personalised medicine, clinical research and treatment planning. The second day will be reserved for members of the Platform User Group and will focus on refining technical and functional requirements. The event is organised by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CONNECT) with the support of the VHTnet consortium.
