15th Annual Direct Dialogue between Mayors of EU Capital Cities and the European Commission

The 15th annual direct dialogue between the mayors of EU capital cities and the European Commission will take place in Nicosia, Cyprus, on February 15–17, 2026, organised under the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the EU. The event is being organised by the city of Nicosia.

The dialogue is a long-standing platform for high-level political exchange and will focus on the role of capitals as strategic partners in strengthening the cohesion, competitiveness, and resilience of the European Union. Special attention will be paid to strengthening the urban dimension of future EU policies in the context of the preparation of the multiannual financial framework for 2028–2034. The event is intended for political representatives of EU capitals and representatives of the European Commission and will provide a space for discussion on the involvement of cities in shaping the EU's strategic priorities in the upcoming programming period.
