Science Diplomacy Alliance was officially launched

On 10 June 2021 the European Union Science Diplomacy Alliance was officially launched to advance science, technology and innovation diplomacy. It is a joint iniciative of the of the Horizon 2020-funded Science Diplomacy Projects (S4D4C, InsSciDE and EL-CSID) to establish and further develop their cooperation launched under H2020. The aim of the Alliance is to develop and organize training and education, build capacity and organize joint research projects on scientific diplomacy, as well as coordination of grant-seeking or use of joint funding, if available. Alliance serves as a hub for cooperative activities and voluntary coordination.

The newly established alliance should play the role of a hub, or a center based on voluntary coordination and based on the active involvement of its members, and should address societal challenges, raise awareness, promote information sharing, connect and develop the scientific diplomacy community. in the field of research, innovation and technology, advise stakeholders in the field of scientific diplomacy and much more.
