Czech Liaison Office for Education and Research (CZELO) and its partners from V4 countries (SLORD, NRDIO and PolSCA) would like to kindly invite you to V4 conference „Earth Observations for Citizens and the Planet“, taking place on 29 June 2021.The overarching aim of the conference is to bring together a wide range of actors involved in research and innovation in the field of Earth Observations (EOs) – on both policy level and practitioners (RPOs) – with a particular focus on Visegrad Group. In brief, the event shall provide a framework to review a key role of research and innovation for the Copernicus programme.

Participants will learn about the coordinated European approach to maximize the use of Earth Observation products and services to steer resilient and green transition for all Europeans and to safeguard our planet. In order to put a spotlight on the CEE space sector, a special session will feature success stories of V4-based projects, researchers and organisations involved in developing, deploying and using global space-based infrastructures, applications and data for Earth monitoring. These will exemplify the key contributions of the V4-based sector to the European Green Deal and Space Strategy for Europe. Finally, a roundtable discussion with key European EO actors and stakeholders is planned to discuss the current status and future challenges regarding the research and innovation activities for and within a Copernicus programme.

Registration deadline is 27 June 2021.

More information including the registration is available at the event´s webpage.
