Invitation to EduCafé: Microcredentials

CZELO

Diana Sýkorová and Jaroslav Švec from Charles University and Frederik de Decker from Ghent University accepted our invitation.

The CZELO office invites you to this year's first informal EduCafé discussion evening on "Microcredentials today and in the future". The event will take place on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at the premises of the Kamilou cafe in Brussels. Diana Sýkorová and Jaroslav Švec from Charles University, both actively involved in the project on implementing Microcredentials on higher education institutions in the Czech Republic funded from the National Recovery Plan, and Frederik de Decker from Ghent University, head of the International Relations Office and expert on the subject of microcredentials, accepted the invitation to the discussion. The debate will be moderated by Laurin Reding from the SwissCore office in Brussels.

We will focus on the current state of play of the implementation of microcredentials in Czechia and Belgium/Flanders, on recognition and quality assurance, and on the links with the European and national policies. Examples from practice will also be presented together with the approach of the alliances of the European Universities 4EU+ and ENLIGHT, in which both HEIs are represented. Last but not least, we will focus on potential challenges and possible future developments.

EduCafé is a discussion evening for experts and those interested in education from among the general public, who can come to listen to a debate on current topics and get the answers to their questions in an informal environment. Register today.
