CZELO

The plenary session was for the last time chaired by Jan Hrušák, who thus concluded his three-year term as ESFRI President.

During the European Strategy Forum for Research Infrastructures (ESFRI) Days, which took place on 6 and 7 December 2021, the sixth edition of ESFRI Roadmap for 2021 was presented. The ESFRI Roadmap includes 41 European Research Infrastructures that have already been implemented (Landmarks), and 22 projects in preparation. The total investment in these, often unique in the world, facilities will exceed 25 billion €.

Furthermore, the document reviews the progress made by ESFRI on strategic policy guidance and reflects on issues of general interest to the national governments, to the Research Infrastructures themselves and to the EU as a whole.

The plenary session was for the last time chaired by Jan Hrušák, who thus concluded his three-year term as ESFRI President (2019-2021). The new chair to take over from Jan Hrušák as of next year is Jana Kolar, Executive Director of the European Research Infrastructure CERIC-ERIC.
