Don’t Be Like Robert! Get Connected. New Video Introduces Czechia as a Partner in International Education and Research

Our new clip encourages international research and educational institutions to cooperate with their Czech counterparts

Is the Czech Republic the right partner for international cooperation in science and education? The new video-spot answers that question with a resounding yes despite the doubt of a fellow scientist Robert. The short clip intended for an international audience follows the story of Emily, a scientist who is coming back from a research stay in the Czech Republic and is presenting her experience in front of her compatriots.

The video was created for the needs of our Czech Liaison Office for Education and Research in Brussels (CZELO) and the Study in the Czech Republic initiative. We will also use the clip at conferences and other events during the Presidency of the Czech Republic in the Council of the EU, in order to promote Czech education and research abroad.

The video was produced by studio Družina in collaboration with studio NICE!  with Jan Látal as the director. The story dispels stereotypes about Central and Eastern Europe countries, such as insufficient English skills or obsolete research facilities, which are still present in Western Europe. The video stars popular Czech actors Tereza Hofová a Petr Jeništa.
