Czechia becomes a key player in a prestigious European Commission project

Thanks to the Study in Czechia initiative, managed by the Czech National Agency for International Education and Research (DZS), Czechia became part of the prominent Study in Europe consortium in September last year. Together with leading European institutions, DZS has now won a tender from the European Commission to implement a project of the same name aimed at promoting education and fostering cooperation in European universities.

Study in Europe

Study in Europe is a European Union project aiming to promote European higher education worldwide. Its goal is to provide information on opportunities, organization, and funding for study and research placements in 33 countries. It also helps European higher education institutions to connect with potential students and partner organizations within the region and globally.

A chance to shape European education

As part of the project, DZS will contribute to the development of a unified strategy to promote Europe as a study destination and to create a strong international alumni community. This community will then support the wider public awareness of educational opportunities in Europe. DZS will also be responsible for organizing a variety of fairs for international students and promoting study programs within the EU.

"This cooperation presents a unique opportunity for Czechia to shape and influence the future of European education. Thanks to our participation in the consortium and now winning the European Commission's tender, we will actively contribute to the development of an open and inclusive higher education system and to strengthening Europe as an attractive study destination for international students and researchers," says Soňa Lippmann, Head of Communication and Analytical Division at DZS.

Through its membership in the consortium, DZS has become a key player in setting trends in European education and will work closely with other consortium members, including the French national agency Campus France, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the Dutch Organization for the Internationalisation in Education (Nuffic), the Estonian Education and Youth Board (Harno) and the Academic Cooperation Association (ACA), an association promoting internationalization and innovation in higher education in Europe.
