The call connects the New European Bauhaus initiative and the EU Missions

The European Commission announced the 5 selected projects of the call for the development of ‘lighthouse demonstrators' of the New European Bauhaus. This call connects the New European Bauhaus initiative and the EU Missions. Both initiatives focus on tackling challenges on climate and environment by utilizing the potential or research and innovation with an emphasis on greater engagement of citizens.

The Czech Republic is among the 13 countries participating in the selected projects, namely the city of Prague. Together with Utrecht (NL) and Stevanger (NO), Prague will be part of the NEB-STAR project, which will address challenges associated with climate-neutral cities, while considering local needs and concerns through co-creation with residents and stakeholders.

The city of Prague will also take part in the project CRAFT, coordination and support action, which will support the 5 selected projects and future key actions of the New European Bauhaus with 2 million EUR in funding. The CRAFT project will also test collaborative local models for NEB transformations in 3 ‘sandbox cities' (Prague, Amsterdam and Bologna) and will offer guidance to the 100 cities selected under the Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities Mission.
