Call for women entrepreneurs: take part in the Supernovas programme and support the EU entrepreneurship ecosystem!

CZELO

There are currently two open calls for the programmes Rocket-Up and Women2Invest.

European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT) has launched a new programme Supernovas, which aims to increase the role and participation of women entrepreneurs in the EU entrepreneurship ecosystem. The programme was created under the auspices of three Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) – EIT Urban Mobility, EIT Manufacturing and EIT Food. The initiative aims to identify talented young entrepreneurs (with different age, backgrounds, expertise and aspirations) and use their potential to develop and integrate more women into the entrepreneurship ecosystem. Participants will have access to financial support, trainings and networking.

Supernovas consist of the following activities:

Programme Rocket-Up

Rocket-Up is a three-month programme that aims to support innovative businesses run by women. The programme provides tailor-made mentoring and connects participants with leading companies and partner cities of EIT. The programme includes experts who meet the specific needs of selected start-ups and help them with access to the new markets. At the same time, experts provide participants with expert advice on the new ecosystem and connect start-ups with potential customers.

Call is open until 19 June 2022.

Programme Women2Invest

Women2Invest is a programme that targets women from STEAM fields (science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics) who have minimal knowledge of the investment environment and venture capital investment. The main goal is to help talented women to start their careers in the investment sector and also to provide investors with an additional resource to recruit new employees in order to expand their investment teams in the future.  The initiative includes a variety of training activities such as professional lectures, investment process simulations and group training. Participants will be provided with a paid internship for a period of eight weeks in venture capital funds.

Call is open until 30 June 2022.

Programme Start-Up Stairway

The goal of the Start-Up Stairway programme is to identify start-ups and scale-ups from the high-tech and deep-tech sectors and to connect them with young female entrepreneurs from STEAM fields offering them to gain work experience from these companies. The programme will offer up to 60 internships, of which at least 50 % participants must be from RIS countries or regions. Selected participants will complete an internship for at least 3 months in the selected start-ups and scale-ups. The programme shall increase the overall number of women involved in the deep-tech start-ups, which is generally lower.

Programme Women Leadership

Women Leadership programme is run in collaboration with the European Innovation Council (EIC) and is open to women who lead start-ups and research teams. The programme offers selected participants mentoring, coaching and training opportunities in order to take their management skills to the next level.
