Bringing International Alumni Together: The First Alumni Networking Event
Study in the Czech Republic initiative organized the historically first Alumni Networking Event on 5th May 2021.
For the first time, the online event brought together international graduates of Czech universities, as well as students who participated in a short-term study exchange, internship, or summer school in the Czech Republic.
Emmanuel Selase Asamoah, the winner of the STUDY IN International Alumni Award 2020, which honours successful international graduates from Czech universities, was a guest speaker at the meeting. He shared his experience with studying and living in the Czech Republic, and where his life has led him after that. The main part of the event was focused on alumni networking. There was a number of breakout rooms dedicated to networking, remembering the times of living and studying in the Czech Republic and to learning tips and tricks from the ESN CZ about how to study in the Czech Republic via Erasmus+ and what to expect when students arrive.
The Alumni Networking Event is a part of the newly established Czech Republic Alumni programme which aims to connect international alumni who have studied at Czech higher education institutions. The programme's goal is to foster a relationship between the Czech Republic and its international alumni in order to support the internationalization of Czech higher education and mediate job opportunities between international alumni and Czech public as well as private sector. It also allows alumni to share their experience with each other and with students potentially interested in studying in the Czech Republic.
All international alumni who have studied in the Czech Republic can register to the Alumni Programme. They are also welcome to join a private LinkedIn group or a Facebook page.
