Become a part of the Digital Education Hub Community of Practice

CZELO

Anyone who is interested in development and innovation in digital education can join the Community.

This February the Digital Education Hub Community of Practice started to develop. The creation of the Digital Education Hub is one of the initiatives of the Digital Education Action Plan (2021–2027) and the Community of Practice is being set up to support the Hub. Experts in the field of digital education and everyone interested in this topic from schools and other relevant organizations (research organizations, non-profit organizations, local and regional authorities, etc.) can now apply and become members.

The main goal of the Community is to create a network of experts in the field of digital education at all levels (from pre-school through primary, vocational, higher to adult education) and to enable sharing of experiences, innovative methods, ideas and good practice examples. Furthermore, the Community also supports peer learning activities and offers space to tackle current issues and challenges on the path to digital transformation in education. In the long-term, the Community aims to bridge the fragmentation of digital policies, research and practice at European level, to foster joint development and innovation, and to become a central point for information gathering and further dissemination.

More information about the Community in general can be found on the European Commission's website.

Community as a space for acceleration, testing and further development of innovative methods and good practice examples across all sectors

The Community makes use of, for example, the so-called Design Thinking. This approach builds on fostering creativity and creative problem solving. Through specific regular workshops, the Community offers its members the opportunity to collaborate not only among themselves, but also with other relevant organizations, thus offering a space for discussion and reflection on innovative teaching methods and a space for creating new ways of collaboration in the field of digital education. The Community also focuses on accelerating the development and dissemination of selected innovative solutions, tools and methods in digital education. More information on the European Commission's website.

What else the Community offers its members?

Members of the Community have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills and also take part in building-up common knowledge of the Community through various activities such as workshops, webinars, mentoring activities or so-called "clinic weeks", which offer individual space for consultation in solving specific problems. In addition, members have the opportunity to share their resources and materials and also have access to already shared materials, such as research reports, national projects and examples of good practices, thematic working group reports, materials and resources created through the Community itself etc. More information on the European Commission's website.
