Erasmus + Sport: more opportunities for local clubs and simplified administration

The new programme offers various opportunities in the field of sport. The deadline for submissions is 20 May 2021.

All important information about the Erasmus+ Sport can be found in the Program Guide for 2021 and in the minutes from the Erasmus+ Sport Info Day (tips for applicants included). The calls were published on the Funding and Tenders portal, where applications should be submitted as well.

Erasmus+ Sport will continue to support both Europe-wide and local events, as well as small movements and initiatives. Increasing the participation of smaller actors in the programme is one of the main goals of the new programme. In order to achieve that, more flexible conditions were set to reduce the administrative burden and new typology of partnership projects was introduced. Also, the funding mechanism was significantly simplified with the introduction of fixed lump sums and working packages. Another novelty related to the funding scheme is the emphasis on results and outputs, not on the administration.
