Webinar Understanding Individual Learning Accounts: challenges and prospects ahead

In the context of European Year of Skills 2023, the EARLALL (European Association of Regional & Local Authorities for Lifelong Learning) is organizing a webinar focused on understanding Individual Learning Accounts. In 2021, EU Leaders welcomed the EU-level target of 60 % of all adults taking part in training every year by 2030. To reach this ambitious goal, the European Council approved two recommendations to support skills development in June 2022:

• the Council recommendation on the European approach to microcredentials for lifelong learning and employability,
• the Council recommendation on Individual Learning Accounts.

The event is open to education and training providers, local and regional public authorities dealing with education and training as well as others interested in this topic. The webinar will bring together regional experts as well as European Commission and OECD representatives to discuss the challenges and future prospects of Individual Learning Accounts. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the EU policies that support the implementation of this tool and also get inspired by practical experiences from various European countries.
