Project Reclaim Žižkov placed second in the New European Bauhaus competition

This year´s competition had 1 100 projects competing in 4 categories

Recently the New European Bauhaus Prizes Awards took place as a part of the first-ever New European Bauhaus Festival. The contest aims to promote excellent projects, ideas and concepts that contribute to the development of the New European Bauhaus and meet its core values of sustainability, aesthetics and inclusion. 

This year´s competition had 1 100 projects competing in 4 categories: “Reconnecting with nature”, “Regaining a sense of belonging”, “Prioritising the places and people that need it the most” and “The need for long-term, life-cycle thinking in the industrial ecosystem”.  

The Czech project Reclaim Žižkov placed second in the category “Regaining a sense of belonging”. This category supports projects that are intended to contribute to a sense of belonging (where the individuals belons to the group), highlighting diversity and involvement of local communities. 

The Reclaim Žižkov initative aims to combat the Prague housing crisis and build affordable and sustainable housing.The new model should offer alternative options for shared lining in a network of residential buildings that will be interconnected and interactive.
