Projects and grants

Erasmus+ is a European Union programme that promotes cooperation and mobility in all spheres of education, training and sport, youth, and non-formal education. The programme encompasses three Key Actions (KAs) – Mobility of Individuals (KA 1), Cooperation Projects (KA 2), and Support for Education Policy Reform (KA 3).

Projects are implemented in five areas, depending on their target group – schools, vocational education and training, youth, higher education and adult education.

Mobility of Individuals – KA 1

Schools – the foreign mobility of nursery, primary and secondary school workers with a view to their further professional development

Vocational education and training – foreign internships for pupils, graduates or staff of secondary vocational schools and colleges or post-secondary vocational schools, and for employees of organisations active in the field of vocational education and training

Youth – support for non-formal education through projects involving international youth exchanges and the professional development of youth workers in the form of seminars, training, study visits or internships

Higher education – the international mobility of university students and employees in order to support their personal and professional development

Adult education – the international mobility of employees of organisations active in adult education in order to support their professional development

Cooperation Projects – KA2

Schools – strategic partnerships of nursery, primary and secondary schools, or other organisations operating in the field of school education, with the aim of sharing experiences and innovative teaching methods and increasing the quality of education

Vocational education and training – international cooperation among organisations active in vocational education and training, the aim of which is to exchange experiences between partners, introduce innovative procedures and increase the quality of the educational process

Youth – partnership projects aimed at promoting innovative practices in non-formal education

Higher education – strategic partnerships between higher-education organisations, businesses, public authorities and civil society organisations to exchange innovative practices and improve the quality of teaching

Adult education – projects of cooperation between organisations active in adult education with the aim of creating, sharing and implementing innovative methods in adult education.

Support for Education Policy Reform – KA 3

Youth dialogue – projects aimed at youth participation and the dialogue of young people with decision-makers through non-formal youth education methods

Capacity building – partnership projects in the field of higher education to support the modernisation and internationalisation thereof, or projects aimed at cooperation and mobility in the field of youth work in order to support the qualitative development thereof and the recognition of non-formal education

ECVET – the European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training, which enhances the quality of national and international mobility and promotes cooperation between schools and businesses 

Eurydice – a European information network that collects, monitors, processes and disseminates reliable and easily comparable information on education systems and on education policy across Europe

European Language Label Award – encourages new and exceptional activities in language education, promotes them among professionals and provides inspiration to introduce such activities into language teaching
